The Perfect Sleeper Mattress by Serta is the company's flagship. The company claims that the Serta Perfect Sleeper mattress combines comfort and value. But does the Perfect Sleeper mattress give you a perfect night's sleep?
Serta is the second most recognised brand of mattress and has the industry's lowest return rate. And the Serta Perfect Sleeper mattress remains a best seller. This all sounds fantastic but Serta's Perfect Sleeper uses the same manufacturing principles, technology and materials that have been used in manufacture of mattresses for many years. There's a concern that other mattress manufacturers essentially make the same mattress but at a lower price, or make more technically advanced mattresses at prices to match the Perfect Sleeper mattress. So, let's take a closer look.
The coil is then covered by 5 zone convoluted high density foam. There is also a fire blocker insulator. An edge support system comes as standard with the Serta Perfect Sleeper mattress. The idea is that this durable edge provides lasting strength while extended the sleeping surface and preventing 'roll-off'.
The mattress top is then finished with Advanced Comfort Quilt. This not only makes the mattress look very appealing, but also helps ventilation and keeps the body cool.
Serta faces much competition from other manufacturers offering comparable mattresses at lower prices. But before you buy, first find out what has gone into the making of a mattress. Compare the cheaper mattress and see how it shapes up to a Serta. Find out about the coil count, the foam used (is it high density?), and about the ticking and quilt (are they 100% cotton or a cheaper substitute?).
Are there any major criticisms of the Serta Perfect Sleeper? Well, like all spring mattresses it needs to be turned often. If they aren't flipped then sagging will occur. Flipping can be quite difficult as the mattress is very heavy, so not a good option for someone frail or with back problems. Also, all Serta Perfect Sleeper mattresses come with a 10 year warranty. However there have been claims that Serta doesn't always honor it, claiming that lumps and sagging is caused by misuse.
All in all, the Serta Perfect Sleeper is still a very good mattress made to the highest standards. If you want latex or memory foam then you can also buy one from Serta - although, for memory foam, I would personally recommend a Tempur Pedic mattress. The Serta Perfect Sleeper could be the perfect choice for those who prefer continuous coil mattresses.
